“ We were looking for a place to lunch after visiting the Museum, we stopped at the Loafe Cafe and it had all that we wanted: tasty and healthy food. We had the Mushroom Soup and a sandwich, both with side salads. There are some unusual iced teas to try it too ”
“ Tried this place after two separate friends recommended it to me. It was quite crowded and busy, but the wait for food wasn’t too bad. I loved the toast — creamy and crunchy — and the portion was great too. ”
“ I used to be a regular customer at the Sauder location, however once I found out my favourite Barista “Tom” had left I was quite upset (still great staff at Sauder, just different ya kno). However I was walking past the Alumni Center Location and saw a familiar face smiling behind the counter, lo and behold, it was Tom! He is now the manager at the Alumni Center location and I have never been happier. Hearing his kind voice say “how’s it going Josh? You want the usual?” was music to my ears. He even recommended his personal favourite “chicken avocado rice bowl” and it was amazing. I’ll definitely be returning to this Loafe cafe and am excited to see what changes Tom brings to the cafe. ”
“ High quality food and pastries. Excellent coffee. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating but gets busy so hard to find seating. ”
“ First of all, the location is extraordinary. There are also many seating options with a great view, plus because it somewhat shares the space with the alumni centre, you can choose to cozy up in other adjacent areas like those by the fireplace or piano lounge. Second of all, I really enjoy their lattes. They are always done very well. The breakfast options are also good. ”
“ Great cafe! Good food and drinks and great service too! Nice setting and a good place to have a short meeting. ”
“ Good quality of food for relatively low prices compared to other spots on campus. The rice in the rice bowls was very plain, but otherwise the mushroom ricotta rice bowl was delicious. Also a good variety of indoor and outdoor seating (both sun and shade). ”
“ I had a wonderful experience at this cafe! The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, the drinks were great, and everything was served with care. A special shoutout to Aoki – their hospitality truly stood out. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind, Aoki made my visit extra special. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended! ”
